Putz`s Creamy Whip in Cincinnati

My grandmother came here has a child, she took my dad here when he was a kid, he brought me here when I was child and now I bring my 3 children. I have craved Ice Ladies/Icemen with bbq burgers in all 3 of my pregnancy. My kids enjoy that exact same meal. I brought my husband here and he is now just as addicted. The employees and owners are just so sweet and respectful and wholesome. I love coming here. It's just a part of our family. I hope this place is still around and run and taste the same way when my kids are older and have kids. Thanks for all the memories!!!!! ♡♡♡♡♡

Amazing! Went to the seasonal opening even though it was so cold out. My mom used to go all the time growing up so we went to see if it was the same. Family owned and operated as far as I know and it shows! They are so sweet, patient and even though there was a constant line theyhelped with suggestions without making you feel rushed. Now the ice cream is worth the drive (I live 25 mins away) and prices are perfect! Wish I brought a cooler to take one home haha.

It’s not spring/summer without Putz’s. Creamiest soft serve comes off the older machine. They also have a Mettwurst Coney! Why don’t we see those on more menus in Cincinnati?

I love a good half and half soft serve!! My husband got the Coney and while it "hit the spot" it wasn't as good as a skyline coney! There was no line when we went but one formed shortly after. Service was very friendly and very quick!! Will definitely go back on a hot summer day!!

Just like my hubby remembered it to be!! Great childhood memories of his family all piled into the family car and getting to choose a "Happy Face" ice cream cones with candy hair (rainbow or chocolate sprinkles). We had a blast. Enjoy!

Good, vanilla soft serve!

A West Side summertime institution serving up the best soft serve in the city. My favorite is the cherry dipped vanilla cone.

I love their malts and their root beer floats. We recently tried their Lime Sherbert and it was so good and refreshing. I haven't tried the real food but it looks good!

I just love this place. Their ice cream treats are excellent, but what I really love is their footlong coney with cheese, mustard, and onions. Prices are fair, and service is always good. This place gets busy in the evenings, can also get busy during the lunch hour (frequently see Cincinnati Police stop in). I saw about 5 EMTs and 15+ firefighters enjoying a snack one recent evening. Don't let the location fool you. This place may be in a slightly tough neighborhood (Mt Airy) but that does not keep couples, families from visiting this long-time Cincinnati icon. Some visit for the ice cream, but I contend this establishment that serves great food just happens to serve great ice cream, too. Check it out!

Nothing exciting. Putz's used to be better, however in recent years the prices go up while the quality goes down.Nostalgia is what is sold here.

My family and I are westsiders..been going to puts for years..the ladies ate always pleasant..but we get ice cream cones..rest of the food we leave alone..I use to live their bar b questions sandwiches..not anymore

This is one of Cincinnati's Premier ice cream creamy whip locations that's has a historic ice cream machine that you cannot get anywhere else due to the machine is no longer made they have great ice cream as well as great footlong cheese coneys. I would love to see a 3-way on the menu with there chili and cheese. I highly recommend you stop by this iconic ice cream shop.

Delicious soft serve, good atmosphere, service was fast. Parking is tough but good for a quick cone. Got a sugar coffee twist with sprinkles and was not disappointed.

No indoor seating but several benches and a couple tables outside. I've only ever gotten the ice cream which is good. Service is always friendly.

Screwed up my order 3 times in a row. 2 hotdogs with onion, sauce & mustard. They just couldn't get the job done. Was charged for cheese that I didn't order & the buns were soggy. 1st experience, I will not be back. They don't even take debit cards, had to pay a high fee at an atm to get bad service. 🤨

Grew up here. My dad used to get all the in the neighborhood on hot summer evenings ,& take us down to Putz's for a cool treat. I still still stop down there for crushed cherry sundaes when in the area.

Small family owned soft serve that tastes great

Kinda odd giving a little ice cream shack behind a gas station five stars, but it's because it's legendary! Been around a long time & even made the highway change it's course so it wouldn't demolish the spot! No frills snack & dessert spot. Family owned so support it!

This place is first-rate and roomy, the menu was yummy and the prices were very fair. quickly, efficient service and very welcoming waiters. I highly recommend this place.

Man I wish I would've went back today. This review will be for 2 weeks ago. It's just the way I remember it as a kid... fun, quick and absolutely delicious.
